The final countdown of Cannes Film Festival couldn’t be more
interesting. This week numerous films have been presented to the audience. Some
films have left with an open mouth and a few others have been disappointed.
For the film "Carol," which has been the one that has
attracted the biggest applause; have brilliant actresses Cate Blanchett and
Rooney Mara in the film. A well-told story that has caught the attention of
everyone.
On the other side is the Mexican film "The chosen ones" a
protest film. Its director, David Pablos wanted to tell a story to denounce
child prostitution. Although believed to change the vision of society on
certain issues is very difficult, hopes that the film does empathize
"that's the most beautiful of my job."
Which is postulated as the winner for best actor is Michael Cane with
the controversial film "Youth". Controversy for causing the biggest
disappointment, according to attendees of the festival. Its director
(Sorrentino) had great actors of the stature of Cane, Jane Fonda, and Rachel
Weisz. The story is about a retired composer and a filmmaker who clings to his
job kill time in a luxury spa in the Swiss Alps, also the daughter of the first
visit, a young Hollywood actor and a diva of past times played by an
unrecognizable Jane Fonda.
The end of the week is a matter of luck and mystery to all, certainly
not go unnoticed.
La recta
final del festival de Cannes no puede estar más interesante. Esta semana
numerosas películas han sido presentadas ante los asistentes. Algunas películas
han dejado con la boca abierta y otras han sido de pocos aplausos y mucho
abucheo.
El caso de
la película “Carol”, que ha sido la que ha concitado mayores aplausos en ella
aparecen las brillantes actrices Cate Blanchett y Rooney Mara. Una historia muy
bien contada que ha llamado la atención de todos.
Por otro
lado está la película mexicana “Las elegidas”, un film protesta. Su director,
David Pablos quería contar una historia que denunciara la prostitución
infantil. A pesar de que cree que cambiar la visión de la sociedad sobre
ciertos temas es muy difícil, confía en que el cine hace empatizar “eso es lo
más bello de mi trabajo”.
El que se
postula como el ganador a mejor actor es Michael Cane, por la película polémica
“Youth”. Polémica por haber causado la mayor decepción, según los asistentes,
del festival. Su director (Sorrentino) contó con grandes actores de la talla de
Cane, Jane Fonda, o Rachel Weisz. La historia trata de un compositor retirado y
un director de cine que se aferra a su trabajo que matan el tiempo en un balneario
de lujo en los Alpes Suizos, balneario que también visitan la hija del primero, un joven
actor de Hollywood y una diva de tiempos
pretéritos encarnada por una irreconocible Jane Fonda.
Como acabe
la semana es cuestión de suerte y de incógnita para todos, eso sí, no pasara
desapercibido.
