Paris Fashion Week Fall-Winter 15/16:

It’s been only a few days since the Paris Fashion Week has taken place. Fashion shows are no longer the same as before and designers now try to create shows which remain in people’s minds.

Chanel, with its top designer Karl Lagerfeld, has already done it again: surprising us with a show-parade which has left nobody indifferent. The French maison has claimed the Parisian aesthetic of its new line simulating a typical brasserie but with that Chanel touch.

Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen has also conquered us, who has surprised with a parade round the fleeting but wonderful life of a rose. Poetry made dresses which form a collection about the dusty tones of the flower’s birth; the most passional and intense reds of the rose’s peak flowering; and blacks referring to the flower’s withering and death.

Finally, we want to stand out Valentino’s runway, who has let the actor Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson to take his parade in order to make a sketch about their new film Zoolander 2, with the objective of promoting it. This funny fact has burn the social networks and quickly the 2.0. world – and also real- have echoed the event.

Amusing and interesting proposals from all designers who once again have surprised us greatly.

Coco Chanel’s Exhibition in The Hague:

Have you already made plans for the weekend?.

If you don’t have a plan yet, we suggest you make a visit to The Hague, the Nederland’s third largest city after Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Make the most of your time in The Hague by sightseeing, but especially by visiting Coco Chanel’s exhibition held in its main museum. The exhibition encompasses for the first time the biography, style and legend of “Chanel”.

In the words of Benno Tempel, director of the “Gemeentemuseum”, “this exhibition is not about fashion, but about style, something that continues and goes beyond the fleeting fashion trends”.

Coco Chanel was a true trend-setter who was able to understand the needs of the new women of the early twentieth century. Moreover, she designed a certain number of icons which continue up to today.

A total of 150 items, including dresses, suits, jewels, and accessories can be seen at the exhibition. It is worth mentioning that the jewels collection includes an extensive representation of garish jewels, which are part of a private collection that Coco Chanel used to use to contrast the simplicity of her creations.
And of course, there is the indispensable bottle of Chanel Nº5 dating back to 1921.

The exhibition, which can be visited until February 2, 2014, is held at Stadhouderslaan 41, The Hague.
