Diors’ Inspiration:

Dior found his first designing inspiration in the flowers and the atmosphere that surrounded him at his family’s villa in the seaside town of Granville, in Normandy. Today, the villa has become a museum that collects some of the designer’s best designs and, from May 4^th until September 22^nd, it exhibits his wonderful pieces of art along the ones of impressionist painters. Because, in fact, that artistic movement inspired him just the way his family’s villa did.

DIOR IMPRESSIONS explores the ties between haute couture and the impressionist art, from the first designs made by Dior itself until the most recent ones made by Raf Simons. Paintings from Monet, Degas or Renoir, alongside the designs they inspired, get together in this wonderful exhibit nobody should miss.
