As you know in P. S. Besitos, we are opening this Spring season with new
clutchs models.
Today it is the turn of the titles "Lolita" and "Jane Eyre", two classics of world literature with
two absolutely opposed female main characters. Both stories were very
controversial at the time of their publication for many reasons.
Charlotte Brontë's novel was highly innovative in the Victorian England,
especially because of the way of acting and thinking of its heroine: Jane Eyre,
an honest, independent and tenacious woman who faces her destiny with
intelligence. She is a woman who decides, against all odds, to manage her own
live, and even if she is in love she is not looking in marriage the solution to
her personal situation, as most female protagonists of his literary generation.
We cannot find a more different story to this claim of feminism than the
Nabokov novel "Lolita”, a character that the author describes as "the
typical American Teenager", shallow and without major existential
problems, which is carried away by the reality around her. She is a female
archetype of submission and passivity.
Today the term "Lolita" is subject to multiple approaches and
different points of view, and in fact, many times it has been given a twist,
turning the childlike and submissive woman into the woman who has power playing
with feigned innocence and controlling the man who originally intended to
dominate her.
We all have a part of Jane Eyre and a Lolita inside, it just depends on
when choosing the clutch with which you most indentify yourself.

Hoy le toca el turno a los títulos
“Lolita” y “JaneEyre”, dos clásicos de la literatura universal con dos protagonistas femeninas
absolutamente opuestas. Ambas historias fueron muy polémicas en el momento
de su publicación por motivos muy
diversos.
La novela de Charlotte Brontë fue
tremendamente innovadora en la Inglaterra Victoriana especialmente por la forma
de actuar y de pensar de su protagonista: Jane Eyre, una mujer íntegra,
independiente y tenaz que se enfrenta a su destino con inteligencia. Una mujer
que decide, con todo en contra, manejar su propia vida, y aunque enamorada no
busca en el matrimonio una solución a su
situación personal como hacen la mayoría de las protagonistas femeninas de su
generación literaria.
No podemos encontrar historia más
diferente a esta reivindicación del feminismo que la novela “Lolita” de
Navokov, un personaje al que su autor describe como “la típica adolescente americana”,
superficial y sin grandes problemas existenciales, que se deja llevar por la
realidad que le rodea. Un arquetipo femenino de sumisión y pasividad.
A día de hoy el término “Lolita”
está sujeto a múltiples enfoques y diferentes puntos de vista; y de hecho, en
muchas ocasiones se le ha dado una vuelta de tuerca, convirtiendo a la mujer
infantilizada y sumisa en una mujer que
tiene el poder y juega con fingida inocencia controlando al hombre que un principio pretendía
dominarla.
Todas tenemos dentro una Jane Eyre
y una Lolita, solo depende del momento elegir el clutch con el que más te
identificas.
