Paris Fashion Week Fall-Winter 15/16:

It’s been only a few days since the Paris Fashion Week has taken place. Fashion shows are no longer the same as before and designers now try to create shows which remain in people’s minds.

Chanel, with its top designer Karl Lagerfeld, has already done it again: surprising us with a show-parade which has left nobody indifferent. The French maison has claimed the Parisian aesthetic of its new line simulating a typical brasserie but with that Chanel touch.

Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen has also conquered us, who has surprised with a parade round the fleeting but wonderful life of a rose. Poetry made dresses which form a collection about the dusty tones of the flower’s birth; the most passional and intense reds of the rose’s peak flowering; and blacks referring to the flower’s withering and death.

Finally, we want to stand out Valentino’s runway, who has let the actor Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson to take his parade in order to make a sketch about their new film Zoolander 2, with the objective of promoting it. This funny fact has burn the social networks and quickly the 2.0. world – and also real- have echoed the event.

Amusing and interesting proposals from all designers who once again have surprised us greatly.

Happy 2015 full of fashion !

In P.S. Besitos we want to wish you all a happy new year. This 2015 has some very important dates because most prestigious museums around the world are going to be invaded by something we love: fashion.

We already talked about the exhibitions of McQueen, in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, and Givenchy, in the Victoria & Albert Museum, but 2015 still has more to offer.

Until February 15 we can see in the Brooklyn Museum the exhibition Killer Heels. These 'killer heels', now have their own tribute and review their history through 160 models from top designers such as Manolo Blahnik and Prada.

From April 1 to August 3, we have another appointment in Paris, this time with Jean Paul Gaultier, because Mapre Foundation continues its European tour with this exhibition which will review the life and work of Gaultier. This time also have the incentive of having unknown works of the designer.

In P.S. Besitos we want you to have a year full of fashion.

Alexander McQueen’s Savage Beauty:

December is not finished yet and we already have an important appointment for next year. We refer to the retrospective which the Victoria & Albert Museum in London dedicated to Alexander McQueen.

Last year the museum made a successful retrospective of David Bowie, which was the germ of Savage beauty, an exhibition that will review the different stages in the work of McQueen. The exhibition will feature 10 sections corresponding to the major concepts of the designer.

For this, the museum has more than 200 creations by Alexander McQueen. In the exhibition we see his first designs inspired by the period of Romanticism, but also his last and unfinished works in which nature and technology had taken a leading role.

From March 14 to July 19 we all have an appointment at the Victoria & Albert Museum with the unforgettable Alexander McQueen.

FAIRY TALES ARE IN FASHION:

P. S. Besitos always try to inform you about the latest trends in fashion. So today we want to talk about a style that unites fantasy and reality, using fairy tales as inspiration for creating the most fashionable garments: the tendency Fairy Tale.

On the catwalks we have seen all sorts of brands, from Alexander McQueen to Valentino, using sheer fabrics of silk, adorned with flowers, stars or hearts for making their collections. These suits, which remind us of the protagonists of fairy tales are not only beautiful, they are full of symbolism and mythology.

This style may seem complicated, but the truth is that you can incorporate into your casual day and achieve a plus of femininity. Use short dresses with flare and choose a flat shoe or low heeled. You can add different accessories and achieve an incredible fairy tale style.

This style allows you to leave the reigning minimalism and bring out the sweet and glamorous air that we like. Suit up!.
